Workshop Description

Watercolor is one of the most convenient and versatile mediums in the fine arts. This workshop is for those interested in trying watercolors for the first time or those who have tried watercolors and would like to improve their skills. Through demonstrations and exercises, students will learn the techniques and properties of working in watercolor, including materials, color, and drying time. Students will be guided step-by-step toward completing finished paintings. This workshop will give students a solid foundation in watercolors to build upon and enjoy for years to come.

About the Instructor

Mark Gonzales received his B.A. in Studio Art from Hunter College and studied extensively at The Art Students League of New York. His work has been published in Drawing Magazine, Artist’s Magazine, American Artists Magazine, and Design New Jersey Magazine. He has received awards and recognition from the Portrait Society of America, The Art Renewal Center, The Artists Magazine, and The Art Students League of New York.
