Author Talk: Helen Harrison’s Art of Murder Mystery The Artful Corpse

Join us for a talk with author Helen Harrison, whose Art of Murder mystery series’ latest volume takes places right here at the League.

Set in 1967, a tumultuous year of Vietnam War protests and the heyday of Pop art, Harrison’s book combines real and fictional characters in a tale of murder and intrigue set at the Art Students League. The cast includes Thomas Hart Benton, who taught at the League from 1926 to 1935; Raymond Breinin, an instructor there from 1961 to 1970; and Stewart Klonis, the League’s longtime director.

The author herself is a League alumna who studied with Thomas Fogarty Jr. and Dagmar Freuchen.

Our talk will be hosted on Facebook LIVE. Tickets are available now.
