Yuka Imata earned her B.F.A. at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She later studied at the Art Students League of New York winning the Xavier Gonzales and Ethel Edwards Grant to study in Spain and also and Phyllis Mason Grant. She has received awards from the Salmagundi and Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Clubs and was featured in American Artist and Plein Air Magazines. Her work has shown throughout the U.S. at the Chelsea Art Museum, National Arts Club, Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center and internationally in Florence, Tokyo, Yokohama and at the Museum of Kyoto, Japan. She is represented by The Good Gallery in Kent, Connecticut.
