Eric March is a painter and draftsman whose work explores the formal possibilities of realism along with themes of observation, history, and the complexity of contemporary urban society-often through the lens of Coney Island, one of his favorite subjects. March earned his BFA at Indiana University and continued his studies in New York with Andy Reiss and at The Art Students League. He has had multiple solo shows in Brooklyn, Queens, and New Haven, CT. Honors include the Queens Council on the Arts Individual Artist Grant, the Provincetown Dune Shack Residency, and the Hudson River Fellowship. March taught painting and drawing at the National Academy School (2011–17) and served as the Department Head of the Painting and Drawing Department (2014–15).
