The Art Students League presents the work of its instructors.

September 8 - October 8, 2009
Selected Prints by Louis Schanker
An exhibition of selected prints by Louis Schanker on loan from the Susan Teller Gallery, New York will be presented in the League's first-floor office. Louis Schanker (1908-1981) began his art studies at the League in the 1920s. By the 1930s he had taken up printmaking and became a graphic arts supervisor for the WPA. As a member of The Ten, Schanker advocated for experimentation and tolerance in art. His own graphic work established his reputation as an innovator in the field.
Location: This exhibition is will be held in the League's first-floor office.


October 5 – 31, 2009
Drawing Lessons
Early academic drawings from the Permanent Collection of the Art Students League of New York. Included in the show are fifty life drawings by students of Kenyon Cox, H.S. Mowbray, Frank Vincent Dumond, George Bridgeman and others.

Exhibition of work by the winners of grants from 2007.

Holiday Exhibion and Sale
