Peter Golfinopoulos
Painting, Life Drawing

The class is designed for the beginning as well as the experienced student. All approaches are welcome. Students may work in any medium and are encouraged to find the means most suited to their temperaments. A model is available for those who wish to work from life. The aim of the class is to develop self-reliance and the capacity to explore. The teacher is concerned with the individual direction of each student.

Peter Golfinopoulos studied at the Art Students League and Columbia University. He taught at Columbia for ten years. He has received numerous awards, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, and is represented in many museums and private and corporate collections. He had a long association with the Charles Egan Gallery and later exhibited at the James Kronen Gallery and the Marian Goodman Gallery. He is currently represented by the Walter Randel Gallery.
